52 weeks?

I think I have decided to start a 52 weeks project. Both to learn more of what I do, and to notice the fact that I have to challenge myself a little bit. I also think its a great way to keep up my hobby! And the only thing I have to do is to take one shot every week. It can't be that hard, can it?

My very first print!

This picture is now hanging in my mom's living room! I'm so happy, it came out so beautiful. This is actually a really early Christmas present for my mom, and she was really happy for it! What do you think?

2 days of photoshop for this?

I have tried like everything I could figure out to do, every tutorial that I have found, but nothing seems to work with this picture! This, that is so simple to do, is the most I could come up with, that actually came out like something not that horrible!

As you might understand, my photography inspiration is not at the top at the time. I just have so much to do, with school and everything! But, soon I will take some time out for photography too. I promise. But Photoshop has been a big part of my days in this time. I think its maybe because I cam work in Photoshop both on school, at home or everywhere else, as long as I bring my computer with me...

I'm really sorry for not uploading or updating anything lately...

Sunlight photo - Before and after

When I find a picture in my archive or take a photo that I'm not that happy with, I try to play in photoshop to maybe do it a little bit better. This is a example of that. Just take a look at this picture here:

This is the original picture. When I took this into photoshop, I took auto tone and auto contrast on the whole picture, duplicated the background. and took auto color, then erased the sky, so the auto color just is on the water and mountain. Then I set the exposure and gamma correction to 0,30 on the sky, and I don't remember exactly on the rest. And all this easy work ended up with this:

What do you think of the final result? Not too much done, but it did a big difference in the photo!

I'm in love...

...with Digital Photography School! I have read, read, grabbed my camera and read a little more, for about 2 weeks now. So, really, I'm totally in love with Digital Photography School(or DPS as I'm prefer to call it). There are really so many great tips there, and you can learn so much small things that is so much worth, but that is hard to teach all by yourself!

When I'm already writing about this, I recommend you all to read  the "100 things I've learned about photography"-link, that you can find by clicking here.

Image borrowed from the writer of the list, Markus Reugels. Click here for the image source.

The writer of the list is German, and writes his blog in Germanic. But he has translated the list to English for publishing to DPS. Nice guy, right?

The start of a photography blog!

For a little while, I have really missed to have a place to write a little about my photography and share things I found useful. So, I'll start this blog basically to be an inspiration to others, and to share things I don't feel I can share everywhere else.  So, just a very short information about me, behind the screen and camera; My name is Christina, i'm 16 years old and live in Norway. I love to photograph, take walks with my camera and be inspired both by things I see myself and things that others capture.

Purple sky and purple flowers.
